After four years of studio-abstinence, the first single of the new album is coming out September 18th! PUSSY! Carried by a gigantic wave of testosterone, Rammstein unsheathes its sword and presents what makes man an animal. So start your engines. With pedal to the metal on the Autobahn of German clichés, where homage is paid to the hand-to-hand battle between the sexes with words like Bratwurst, Blitzkrieg, and Mercedes-Benz … to destinations abroad, past Heidi with her burgers and away from the German Fräuleinwunder. There, pleasure lurks like a yawning abyss….
The single is appearing as a 2-track Digipack and also online with the song “Rammlied” as B-Side in all stores. For the USA “Pussy” is released exclusively through iTunes – the UK special Vinyl Edition’s (7″ and 12″) can be purchased at Whatrecords.
And look forward to a new video from Jonas Åkerlund!

Last December Rammstein went to California (Sonoma Mountain Studio) for a six-week stay, to record songs for the band’s new album. Marion Brasch, journalist and radio-reporter, spent 2 days with the band there and conducted interviews with all of them.

Plans for further shows in Germany in the first quarter of 2010 have been finalized and we’re happy to announce additional shows here today!
Effective immediately, tickets are available at www.rammsteinshop.de for concerts in Dortmund, Mannheim and Kiel. Additionally there will be tickets
available for further shows in Dresden, Erfurt and Chemnitz in a few days. Everyone can purchase 4 personalized tickets for the 8 shows total.

The mix for the new songs has been completed in Stockholm. The album is moving within reach! In the new work Rammstein are also keeping to the same lucky number – 11 new titles! The band has finished shooting its first video, there have been photo sessions and first interviews. In the next weeks you will regularly find breaking news for the album here. We are beginning with photos from the area Beesenstedt, where at the start of production the band subjected the first songs to a rigorous, live-in-studio Rammstein-fitness test.

After ticket allocations for the official presale agencies were nearly sold out for all concerts in Europe, management is announcing on behalf of the band that in the first quarter of 2010 further concerts are in planning for Scandinavia, Great Britain, Ireland, and Russia, as well as for Germany. Dortmund, Erfurt, Dresden, Mannheim, and Kiel were named as expected German tour stops. Simultaneously, ticket sale for additional concerts for this year in Cologne and Berlin has already started yesterday on www.rammsteinshop.de!

No words can describe how happy we were to receive an official invitation to a listening of the first three Rammstein-songs from the upcoming album. Three uncompromising songs and three attacks upon “common taste and morality”. An album isn’t an album until the last line has been sung and the final note has sounded. However, it’s no big secret to tell you about our great enthusiasm. Just like many others we can’t wait. All departments of the good ship “Rammstein” are running on full steam! There are already more than 150.000 ticket-requests for the tour that will start at the end of this year.
Stockholm let us nibble and we still have the sweet taste of the ripe fruits in our mouths.
Well, we are not worried about our and your welfare anymore…

After finishing the first part of their studio-recordings successfully, Rammstein have started to put the final touches to their new songs. For example, they’re thinking about the usage of strings and choirs. Therefore the band sat down with the orchestra arranger Sven Helbig last week.
Aside from the last musical changes the final lyrical changes are being made, too.
We’re highly awaiting the next steps of the album production: the mixing of the songs. It is supposed to start mid of march and will take about six up to eight weeks.
